You can look at it as finding something interesting on a website that you would like to check on in the future again so you save it into a specific folder or category on a website.
I currently only use Pinterest as a social bookmarking site where I save interesting pins and ideas from others on specific boards. I also use it for my own business, I share articles and photos connected to my website, which improves the number of leads I get on my website.
Using social bookmarking websites can boost your website's traffic organically which improves SEO as well, as search engines recognize your website's activity and they rank it higher. You can track the number of times people clicked on your pins on Pinterest and see what content works best to attract leads to your website.
Social bookmarking sites such as Pinterest make it easy for you to see what’s popular and trending in a specific industry. For instance, my company is offering hand-painted tote bags, with Pinterest trends I can see what people are talking about in the tote bag industry and I can show my audience how up-to-date I am by publishing curated content.
If you really want to benefit from social bookmarking make sure you are not spamming everyone with only your content, products and articles, but instead create a mixture of content from other creators as well.
